Police Services Board

THAT Lorne Boyko is hereby appointed to serve as Chair of the Haldimand County Police Services Board from this date forward until the first Board meeting in the 2024 calendar year.

THAT Shelley Ann Bentley is hereby appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Haldimand County Police Services Board from this date forward until the first Board meeting in the 2024 calendar year.

THAT the Haldimand County Police Services Board hereby adopts the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on September 29, 2022, as presented.

THAT the O.P.P. reports for the months of October, November and December, 2022 from Inspector Carter, Haldimand County O.P.P. be hereby received as presented.

THAT the Haldimand County Police Services Board hereby receives the Board Financials and Current Reserve Figures, dated January 18, 2022, as information.

THAT the Haldimand County Police Services Board hereby receives the October, November and December, 2022 Haldimand County Provincial Offences Act Ticket Issuance Reports, as presented.

1. THAT the 2023 draft Community Policing Committee budget with a net levy of $9,750 be approved, for submission to Council, as presented to the Board at its meeting of January 26, 2023; 2. AND THAT the 2023 draft Police Services Board budget with a net levy of $23,370 be approved, for submission to Council, as presented to the Board at its meeting of January 26, 2023.

1. THAT the 2023 OAPSB membership dues in the amount of $3,313.35 plus HST be paid from the Memberships & Associations budget; 2. AND THAT the 2023 OAPSB Zone 4 membership dues in the amount of $50.00 be paid from the Memberships & Associations budget.

THAT By-law 1, as listed, be hereby introduced and given a first and second reading.

THAT By-law 1, as listed, be hereby introduced and given a third and final reading, be signed by the Mayor and the Clerk, the corporate seal affixed thereto and numbered.

THAT the Haldimand County Police Services Board hereby enters a portion of the meeting closed to the public at 10:20 a.m. pursuant to Section 35(4) Part b) of the Ontario Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990 for discussion where: b) intimate financial or personal matters or other matters where the desirability of avoiding their disclosure in the interest of any person affected or in the public interest outweighs the desirability of adhering to the principle that proceedings be open to the public.

THAT the Haldimand County Police Services Board hereby comes out of the closed portion of the meeting at 10:38 a.m.

THAT this meeting is now adjourned at 10:39 a.m.
